Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Tuesday said Georgia holds “leading positions in every direction,” including human rights, democracy, security, and the economy, but noted that politically motivated and “non-objective” statements continue to be made about the country.

Commenting on the United States Department of State’s annual report on trafficking, Kobakhidze told reporters that where “objective evaluations” are made, Georgia consistently ranks at the forefront.

“Wherever objective assessments are made, Georgia is always in a leading position. This applies to absolutely every criterion by which our country can be evaluated, including human rights protection. Georgia is at the forefront in all areas, and that is the objective assessment. However, alongside this, there are non-objective statements regarding our country, which can only have political motives,” the Prime Minister said.
