Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Saturday commented on the incident outside Kakha Kaladze’s campaign headquarters, calling on ruling party supporters not to respond to provocations and insults.

“It is difficult to endure when a completely discredited person comes and insults you. However, believe me, our calm response is what will benefit the process most,” Kobakhidze said.

According to the Prime Minister, the recent confrontations are part of “externally funded provocations,” supported both financially and politically by certain European bureaucrats.

“These are absolutely discredited people driven by a single task – to incite hatred in our country. The best way to counter their mission is not with hate, but with the opposite approach. If we respond with hostility, we will only play into their hands. We must defeat hatred with a different attitude, despite how difficult it may be,” Kobakhidze stressed.

He urged Georgian Dream supporters to remain calm and avoid reacting to such provocations: “My appeal to our supporters is to give no response to such people. External forces, including specific European bureaucrats, are attempting to impose hatred on our country. We must resist it with composure.”
