PM Kobakhidze meets Georgian futsal team ahead of European Championship

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, together with Georgian Football Federation President Levan Kobiasvhili, on Saturday met with the Georgian futsal national team to wish them success at the upcoming European Championship.
Kobakhidze praised the team for qualifying for the European Championship for the second consecutive time, calling it a major achievement, and thanked the players for their dedication and hard work.
"As an ordinary fan, I want to sincerely thank you. This success is the result not only of talent but of immense hard work, and I am grateful for all your efforts. I wish you great success at the European Championship. I am confident this is just the beginning, and many more achievements will follow in the years ahead. You have laid the foundation for this, and for that, you deserve special thanks. I wish you a successful and happy year, and all the best at the European Championship," Kobakhidze said.
The Georgian futsal team will travel tomorrow to compete in Group A, facing Croatia, Latvia, and France. The 2026 Futsal European Championship will take place from January 21 to February 7 across Latvia, Slovenia, and Lithuania.
