Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia, met with the Israeli Ambassador to Georgia, Walid Abu Haya, in Tbilisi, the Government Administration reported on Wednesday.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed concern over recent developments in the Middle East and extended condolences to Israel for the lives lost.

Kobakhidze also voiced hope that peace in the region would be restored in the near term and emphasized the importance of stability for the prosperity of nations and their peoples.

The discussions included the longstanding friendly relations between Georgia and Israel, highlighting the countries’ historical and diplomatic ties.
