Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Wednesday commented on the ongoing money laundering case involving a sum of $624 million and €35 million, calling it a matter of “huge importance.”

Responding to a journalist’s question, Kobakhidze emphasised the need for a thorough investigation.

“This is a very significant case, and it is even more important to follow it through to the end. We are talking about enormous sums of money, and it is interesting to establish who was involved and what the motive behind it was. All law enforcement agencies must fully pursue this case,” the PM said.
