PM Kobakhidze meets Black Sea economic cooperation chief Comănescu

The prime minister said the Black Sea played a key role in developing Georgia’s transit potentia

Prime minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Lazăr Comănescu, secretary general of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
The sides highlighted Georgia’s important role in the organization as a founding member and current chair, and discussed priorities for future cooperation, the government press office said.
Kobakhidze spoke about the growing importance of the Middle Corridor, the development of Georgia’s transit function, and major infrastructure projects being implemented by the government, including the east - west highway, the Baku - Tbilisi - Kars railway, and the Anaklia deep - sea port project, the press office added.
The prime minister said the Black Sea played a key role in developing Georgia’s transit potential.
The meeting at the government administration was also attended by foreign minister Maka Botchorishvili and head of the government administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
