Georgian PM, Armenian president highlight deepening strategic partnership, regional stability

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, who is on an official visit to Georgia. The two leaders underscored the long-standing, friendly relations between their countries and the positive momentum in advancing their strategic partnership, the government press office said.
During the private meeting, Kobakhidze highlighted the dynamic development of political and economic ties, noting that frequent high-level exchanges reflect the strength of bilateral cooperation. He thanked President Khachaturyan for his visit and personal support.
“We are pleased to see the dynamic development of relations between our countries. The frequent exchange of high-level visits is proof of this. Thank you for coming to Georgia - your personal support is very important to us. Our cooperation with the Armenian government is very close across multiple sectors. We are confident that with this dynamic and pace, we will achieve significant success in further deepening our relations,” Kobakhidze said.
President Khachaturyan expressed gratitude to the Georgian government for the warm welcome, saying he immediately felt at home upon arriving in Tbilisi. He emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral ties and reaffirmed Armenia’s consistent commitment to partnership with Georgia.
“Thank you to the Georgian authorities for the warm hospitality. I arrived yesterday, yet I feel as if I have been here all along - the attention and atmosphere created here make us feel that way. This is also a result of your personal relations, mutual trust, and partnership. High-level meetings strengthen our ties and create new opportunities. Rest assured, there will be no change in Armenia’s attitude or approach - we are fully committed to deepening cooperation. Our shared goal is peace and stability in the region and domestic resilience. I believe the people of both Georgia and Armenia appreciate our governments’ efforts toward strengthening sovereignty and independence,” Khachaturyan said.
