Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Friday said his meeting with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan focused on strengthening relations between the two countries.

“I was glad to meet [...] Mirzoyan. We discussed ways to further strengthen Georgia-Armenia relations and reaffirmed our shared vision for a peaceful, stable and more connected South Caucasus”, Kobakhidze said in a post on X.

Kobakhidze hosted Mirzoyan, who is on an official visit to Georgia, earlier today. The Government Administration said the parties underscored the importance of the strategic partnership between the two countries and reviewed the current situation in the wider region.

“The discussion touched upon the bilateral good-neighbourly relations. It was noted that the political dialogue between Georgia and Armenia is at the highest level. Special attention was paid to trade and economic cooperation and the fact that Armenia is among Georgia’s 10 largest trading partners”, the body added.
