Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has expressed strong support for Sulkhan Tamazashvili, the newly nominated candidate for the position of Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara.

“First of all, I would like to thank Tornike Rizhvadze for his dedicated service to the Autonomous Republic of Adjara over the past seven years. Significant projects and programs have been implemented to develop this important and beautiful region of our country. Of course, this work must continue with dignity,” Kobakhidze stated.

He also acknowledged the role of the President in the selection process, emphasizing the need for swift consultations. “Today, I present to you a worthy candidate, Sulkhan Tamazashvili, who has extensive experience in a crucial institution—the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He has served our state with honor for many years. Born and raised in Adjara, he understands the region’s needs and challenges. His leadership will be essential for the continued development of Adjara,” the Prime Minister said.

Kobakhidze expressed confidence in Tamazashvili’s ability to handle the responsibilities of the position effectively. “He possesses all the necessary qualities, experience, and skills to lead the government of Adjara and address the challenges ahead. I am certain he will fulfill his duties with excellence. I wish him success in his new role,” he concluded.
