Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has expressed his condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the people of Turkey following a devastating fire at the Kartalkaya ski resort hotel.

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic fire at the Kartalkaya ski resort hotel in Türkiye. I extend my full support to President Erdoğan. Our heartfelt condolences go to the victims’ families, and we stand in solidarity with the Turkish people,” Kobakhidze wrote on X.

The fire, which occurred at a hotel on the popular Kartalkaya ski resort, has claimed 66 lives and left 51 injured, according to the latest reports. The tragedy has sent shockwaves across the region, prompting an outpouring of sympathy and support from neighboring countries, including Georgia.
