Tourism revenue in Georgia reached a “record” $4.7 billion in 2025, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said on Friday while presenting the Government’s annual report to Parliament.
He noted that the country hosted 7.8 million international visitors during the year, including over 5.5 million tourist trips, marking an 8.4 per cent increase.
Kobakhidze added that growth continued into 2026, with tourism revenues rising slightly in the first quarter despite global geopolitical tensions. Passenger traffic also increased by 4.3 per cent year-on-year, exceeding 1.6 million travellers across Georgian airports.
He said 20 new hotels were opened during the reporting period, adding around 1,000 rooms, bringing the total to 2,691 hotels with 53,000 rooms nationwide.
