PM Kobakhidze meets newly appointed Turkish ambassador to Georgia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has met Turkey’s newly appointed ambassador to Georgia, Mustafa Turker Ari.
According to the Georgian government administration, Kobakhidze congratulated the ambassador on the start of his diplomatic mission and wished him success in his role.
The meeting focused on the strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkey, with both sides highlighting close cooperation based on shared regional interests.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening economic ties, with the Georgian government noting that Turkey remains Georgia’s leading trading partner.
The sides also discussed opportunities linked to the development of the Middle Corridor and broader regional infrastructure projects.
In that context, the importance of ensuring peace and stability in the South Caucasus region was also emphasised, the government administration said.
