Georgian PM meets Turkish Interior Minister to discuss strategic partnership

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze on Thursday met with Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya during his visit to Tbilisi, the Government Administration reported.

The discussion focused on the friendship and strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkey. Special emphasis was placed on the “productive” cooperation between Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and Turkish law enforcement agencies.

The sides also exchanged views on ongoing regional developments and underlined the important role both Georgia and Turkey play in promoting peace and stability in the wider region.

Kobakhidze thanked Yerlikaya for his visit, stressing that such high-level exchanges further contribute to the deepening of the strategic partnership between the two neighbouring countries.
