Georgian PM meets Turkish Transport Minister to discuss strategic partnership

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey, Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, during his visit to Tbilisi for the 6th session of the Georgia-Turkey Intergovernmental Economic Commission.

According to the Georgian government’s administration, the two sides highlighted the strategic partnership between the countries and discussed prospects for further deepening bilateral cooperation. The importance of the Intergovernmental Economic Commission in advancing trade and economic relations was underlined.

During the meeting, they reviewed ongoing and planned infrastructure projects of regional and strategic importance, aimed at strengthening connectivity in the region.

The conversation also touched on current regional developments and the crucial importance of peace in the South Caucasus. PM Kobakhidze reaffirmed the Georgian government's readiness to facilitate dialogue and contribute to long-term peace and stability in the region.

Also attending the meeting were Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili, Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze, and Head of the Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
