Kobakhidze claimed that the Georgian government’s criticism of the EU was based on concrete facts

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that EU official Kaja Kallas avoided answering a direct question about double standards because, in his words, such standards were evident in the European Union’s approach toward Georgia.

Speaking to journalists, Kobakhidze claimed that the Georgian government’s criticism of the EU was based on concrete facts and circumstances, stressing that EU bureaucrats should reflect on the issues rather than evade direct questions. He described Kallas’s response as “very weak,” adding that comparisons involving the United States were irrelevant to the specific question raised about unequal treatment.
