Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze thanks Patriarch for congratulations

Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the political team for the congratulations received from the Patriarch. In a statement to journalists, he emphasized the importance of each message conveyed in the Patriarch’s address.

“We greatly value the cooperation between the state and the church, and we take great care in maintaining it. Every message presented in the statement is highly significant to us, and naturally, we will act accordingly,” Kobakhidze said.

On Saturday Patriarch Ilia II of Georgia released a statement following the conclusion of the Central Election Commission’s announcement of the final election results, which confirmed the ruling Georgian Dream party’s victory.

“The process of revealing the election results by the CEC has concluded, once again confirming the overwhelming victory of the Georgian Dream. We sincerely congratulate them on this success,” the Patriarch stated.
