Kobakhidze reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to deepen cooperation with international partners, saying stronger connectivity is a key condition for long-term stability

Georgian PM Irakli Kobakhidze has taken part in a roundtable discussion on connectivity and economic security at the European Political Community summit, outlining Georgia’s role as a key regional hub.

Kobakhidze focused on the country’s importance in linking transport and energy corridors, and highlighted major infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening that role, the government press office said on Monday. These, he said, include the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, highway developments and the Anaklia deep-sea port project.

He also underlined the need to diversify transport and energy routes, pointing to the strategic significance of the Southern Gas Corridor and planned Black Sea submarine cable projects.

Kobakhidze reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness to deepen cooperation with international partners, saying stronger connectivity is a key condition for long-term stability.
