Georgian PM unveils exhibition space at Shanghai Import Expo as Guest Country of Honour

More than 40 Georgian companies are showcased at the global trade event, promoting products and investment opportunities to Chinese and international visitors.

Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, alongside China’s Premier Li Qiang, officially opened Georgia’s national exhibition space at the China International Import Expo (CIIE) as a guest country of honour this year.
More than 40 Georgian companies are showcased at the global trade event, promoting products and investment opportunities to Chinese and international visitors.
According to the government, the Georgian pavilion offers an immersive experience featuring the country’s history, culture and unique alphabet, along with its centuries-old winemaking tradition. Visitors are also introduced to Georgia’s tourism potential and business environment.
A dedicated gastronomy area hosts masterclasses on traditional Georgian cuisine, wine tasting sessions, and cultural performances as part of the promotional programme.
