Ambassador Orbay expressed his condolences once again on the passing of His Holiness Ilia II, the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with outgoing Turkish Ambassador Ali Kaan Orbay, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in Georgia.

During the meeting, Ambassador Orbay expressed his condolences once again on the passing of His Holiness Ilia II, the Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia, the government press office said on Tuesday.

The discussions highlighted the “high level of strategic partnership” between Georgia and Turkey, as well as the “fruitful cooperation” across various sectors.

Kobakhidze thanked the ambassador for his contributions to the development of bilateral relations and wished him success in his future endeavors.
