Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said talks with Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov had strengthened the strategic partnership between the two countries, with a focus on expanding cooperation and regional connectivity.
In a post on X, Kobakhidze said an expanded-format meeting with the Turkmen delegation had produced a "productive discussion" on deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
"Particular attention was paid to the strategic potential of regional connectivity," the prime minister wrote.
Kobakhidze said the signing of several key agreements and memoranda of understanding further reinforced the two countries' shared commitment to developing a strong and mutually beneficial partnership.
President Berdimuhamedov concluded his state visit to Georgia later on Friday. During the visit, the two leaders held one-on-one and expanded-format meetings, after which the two sides signed a series of agreements and memoranda covering cooperation across multiple sectors.
Prime Minister Kobakhidze saw the Turkmen president off at Tbilisi International Airport at the end of the visit.
