Prime Minister Kobakhidze begins official visit to Azerbaijan

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has commenced his official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan. Upon arrival at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, Kobakhidze was welcomed by Azerbaijan’s Vice Prime Minister, Samir Sharifov, the Government press office said on Friday.

The visit includes high-level meetings with Azerbaijani leaders, including face-to-face discussions with President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Ali Asadov. Key among the agenda items is the 10th session of the Georgia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, which will be chaired by the Prime Ministers of the two nations.

Accompanying the Georgian Prime Minister is a delegation of senior officials, including Levan Davitashvili, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Maka Botchorishvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Davit Songulashvili, Minister of Environment and Agriculture, Tinatin Rukhadze, Minister of Culture and Levan Zhorzholiani, Head of the Government Administration.
