Georgian Dream’s Secretary General and Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, addressed the people of the Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti region during a pre-election rally in Zugdidi, urging active participation in the October 26 elections.

Kaladze stressed that the citizens of Georgia have only one choice—to protect peace, dignity, and the well-being of their families, while securing the country’s European future.

“Friends, we must not take a single step back! Today, we cannot afford to speak softly—we must call things as they are because the dangers we face are clear. We are being openly told that it is ‘unfortunate for Georgians that they love their country so much.’ Some suggest that Georgia should not be the center of its citizens’ world and that external forces, not the people, should decide its fate,” Kaladze said.

He emphasized that for those who cherish their homeland, it is completely unacceptable for Georgia to be governed by outside forces, interfering in its internal affairs and issuing commands.

“We don’t need masters; we need friends, we need partners. This is how we see the development and future of our country,” Kaladze stated.

He further remarked that the upcoming October 26 election is, in fact, a referendum, where the choice is between peace and war, patriotism and betrayal.

“One thing is certain: Georgia’s interests will never be sold! Protecting the interests of Georgia and its people has always been the top priority for the Georgian Dream, which is why external forces fight us so fiercely,” Kaladze noted.

The Mayor noted the October 26 elections are a decisive referendum where peace and war, traditional values and imposed propaganda, love of country, and disloyalty face off.

„In this critical battle, Georgia will undoubtedly win! The will of the people will prevail! Georgian Dream will triumph!” He concluded.
