Kakha Kaladze, the incumbent mayor of Tbilisi and ruling party candidate for the upcoming local elections, has announced the new campaign slogan and central promise: “Peace for Georgia, More Goodness for Tbilisi.”

Speaking at his nomination event on July 31 evening, Kaladze reflected on his eight-year tenure, saying that today, the city is far more vibrant than it was in 2017. He recalled his first campaign, when the slogan was “A City Full of Life,” and noted that back then, public spaces such as courtyards, parks, and squares felt empty and lifeless.

“Now, we see people everywhere — in yards, parks, central districts, suburbs, cultural and sports venues. Tbilisi and every neighborhood today is much more full of life,” Kaladze said.

He emphasized that peace has enabled this growth and vitality. “In a world full of challenges, our country and capital have become islands of peace — and that peace allows us to focus on bringing more good to our beautiful city.”

Kaladze credited the ruling Georgian Dream party for maintaining stability and thanked the party’s honorary chairman, Bidzina Ivanishvili, for his role in 'securing peace and progress.'
