Tbilisi to light main Christmas tree on 12 December, Mayor

Tbilisi’s main Christmas tree will be lit on 12 December at 20:00 on First Republic Square, Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced at the city government’s session on Wednesday.

Kaladze invited residents to attend the ceremony, noting that preparations were under way on the square, which will host the capital’s main tree and a Christmas Village.

“We are working actively on First Republic Square, where the main Christmas tree and the Christmas Village will be located. We are doing everything to create a festive atmosphere so that both children and adults can enjoy it. We invite everyone to join us on 12 December at 20:00 on First Republic Square, where we will light the capital’s main Christmas tree together,” Kaladze said.
