Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has announced the launch of a new municipal initiative, Motoinspection, aimed at improving the enforcement of urban order across the capital, particularly in tourist and historic areas.
Speaking at a municipal government session on Wednesday, Kaladze said the new unit will monitor a range of issues including environmental cleanliness, noise pollution, and construction or administrative violations.
“Maintaining urban order and implementing appropriate measures is one of our priorities,” Kaladze said. “This new project by the Municipal Inspection will allow us to manage and respond to violations more effectively and swiftly, especially in key areas frequented by tourists.”
The Motoinspection team will operate using European-standard tricycles equipped with modern technology and special tools. According to the mayor, 20 such vehicles have been procured, and municipal inspection staff have undergone specialised training to support the project.
