Kakha Kaladze, Tbilisi Mayor and mayoral candidate from the ruling party Georgian Dream, on Friday met with young people as part of his election campaign, pledging continued support for their initiatives.

Kaladze thanked the youth for their involvement in projects important for the capital and stressed their role in shaping the country’s future.

“It is a great honour to stand before you for the third time as a candidate for mayor [...] I am not afraid to run for a third term, because I have your support behind me. You are the future of our country. Have confidence in our support, because it is free, educated, and development-oriented young people who create the future of this nation,” Kaladze said.

He also underlined the importance of independence and sovereignty, noting that freedom must be strengthened every day and should not be compromised for the benefit of external political players.

Kaladze emphasised that his administration had already launched numerous projects and programmes for young people, with more planned in the future. He called on the youth to share their ideas, promising to turn them into projects for the benefit of the city.

“On October 4, Tbilisi will celebrate victory, and the city’s development will become irreversible. The most important thing is to preserve peace, because peace brings progress, prosperity, and growth. The only political team capable of delivering this today is Georgian Dream,” Kaladze stated.

The meeting with young people took place at Vaso Godziashvili Park and concluded with a concert by the band Ursa.
