Two charged in domestic violence, threat case in western Georgia

The Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against two individuals in connection with a domestic violence incident and repeated threats in Zugdidi.
According to the investigation conducted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, one of the accused physically assaulted his spouse and, on several occasions, threatened to kill her, causing the victim to fear that the threats could be carried out.
The second accused, identified as the victim’s father-in-law, allegedly assaulted his daughter-in-law in the presence of a minor, resulting in physical pain.
At the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, the court has already imposed pre-trial detention as a preventive measure for both defendants.
