Dekanoidze argued that the government has left Georgia without its most important international partners, including the United States

One of the leaders of the United National Movement, Khatia Dekanoidze, has accused the Georgian Dream government of steering the country toward Russia and Iran and isolating Georgia from its key international partners.

Speaking to the media, Dekanoidze said that “the path of such autocracies always leads toward Russia and Iran,” adding that the authorities speak about Russia “with excessive caution” while failing to address Georgia’s occupied territories. According to her, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not dare to make even a single clear statement on the issue.

Dekanoidze argued that the government has left Georgia without its most important international partners, including the United States. She claimed that Bidzina Ivanishvili is pushing the country toward chaos, which could result in Georgia’s interests, economy, transit routes and cargo flows coming under sanctions.

“This is all driven by Ivanishvili’s greed,” Dekanoidze said, warning that such a course poses serious risks to the country’s future.
