Khatia Dekanoidze, Deputy Chair of the National Committee of the United National Movement, has highlighted the “MEGOBARI Act” as another clear expression of bipartisan support from the United States for the Georgian people.

According to Dekanoidze, the bipartisan sanctions under this act will expand and intensify, targeting Bidzina Ivanishvili, his family members, and his inner circle.

“The ‘MEGOBARI Act’ once again demonstrates the United States’ bipartisan support for the Georgian people. We know that it includes sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili, who has already been sanctioned due to his cooperation with Russia,” Dekanoidze stated.

She emphasized that these sanctions are expected to grow more comprehensive, extending to Ivanishvili’s family and associates. At the same time, the act offers an important opportunity to strengthen strategic partnerships with the Georgian people.

The US Congress is scheduled to hold a session to discuss the “MEGOBARI Act,” signaling further developments in this matter.
