‘Yes to Europe, Defend Your Future’ – protest rally to be held in Tbilisi today

A protest rally titled “Yes to Europe, Defend Your Future” will be held in Tbilisi today at 19:00 in the courtyard behind the Parliament building.

According to the organisers, the demonstration aims to protest the policies of the ruling Georgian Dream party and to show the European Union that the people of Georgia want closer integration with Europe. They stressed that the demands of the rally include the repeal of repressive laws, the release of political prisoners, and the holding of new and fair parliamentary elections.

Civil activists plan to gather at 17:00 near Tbilisi State University, march towards the EU Delegation office, and then proceed to Parliament, where the main rally will take place.
