Kremlin propagandist Alexander Dugin claimed this week that Georgia requires the backing of a powerful ally like Russia. He suggested that ongoing protests in Tbilisi against the foreign agents’ law, and other cities might escalate, potentially “giving the West another pretext for instigating a colorful revolution in Georgia”. Hence, he emphasized the necessity for Georgia to secure Russia’s support.

“The Georgian Dream party consistently defends the sovereignty of Georgia, despite efforts by the Atlanticists to destabilize the country and exert pressure on its authorities. Unlike Armenia and Moldova, which are aspiring to join the European Union, Georgia recognizes the consequences of strict adherence to the hegemon’s rules: a loss of autonomy and a complete political alignment with the USAand Europe,” Dugin remarked.

He further noted, “It is possible that the protest waves in Tbilisi and other cities will intensify, providing the West with another reason for a colorful revolution in Georgia. Therefore, the country needs the support of such a strong ally as Russia. Relations between the two nations are actively ongoing, with shared views on the importance of preserving traditional values”.
