Police in Georgia have arrested two individuals, including a minor, on charges related to the illegal purchase, possession and facilitation of the sale of large and particularly large quantities of drugs.

Officers from the Kvemo Kartli Police Department detained A.I., born in 2007, and A.M., born in 1990 and previously convicted, in the municipality of Rustavi at different times.

Law enforcement officers said that searches of the suspects’ persons and residences, as well as investigative experiments, led to the seizure of 33 packages of narcotic substances prepared for sale. The substances were identified as Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and Alpha-PVP.

The offences carry penalties of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
