Three arrested in central Georgia over large-scale drug offences

The crime carries penalties of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment

Police in central Georgia have arrested three individuals on suspicion of illegal possession and distribution of drugs in large and particularly large quantities, the Interior Ministry has said.
Officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia detained the suspects - identified by their initials as E.Sh. (born 2002), O.O. (born 1970) and M.A. (born 1987) - during separate operations in Rustavi and the Ponichala area of Tbilisi.
Searches of the suspects’ homes and persons, as well as investigative experiments, led to the seizure of various drugs intended for sale.
The crime carries penalties of up to 20 years in prison or life imprisonment.
