Kyiv announces “new era” in air defense

A new era of air defence has begun in Ukraine, the IRIS-Ts from Germany are already here, the American NASAMS is coming – this is just the beginning, Oleksiy Reznikov, Minister of Defense of Ukraine has written on Twitter. 

He stressed that Russia is a “terrorist country” and Ukraine needed more to protect itself.

“We need more. There is no doubt that Russia is a terrorist state. There is a moral imperative to protect the skies over Ukraine to save our people,” Reznikov wrote.

He also said that Ukraine had also received four additional high mobility artillery missile systems – HIMARS from the US. 

Russia attacked Ukraine from the air earlier this week, killing 19 and injuring dozens.
