If parliamentary elections were held this Saturday, 25.1% of respondents would vote for the Georgian Dream ruling party, according to a new public opinion poll conducted by the Institute for Social Studies and Analysis (ISSA).
The ruling party’s support translates to 31.5% after allocation amid ongoing protests in the country for halted EU integration, which the GD announced late last year, after winning the October 26 general elections with 53 percent of the vote. The domestic opposition claims the elections had been rigged.
The Coalition for Changes ranks second in the poll, garnering 10.3% of direct support, with an allocated share of 18%. Meanwhile, Unity – National Movement stands at 8.5%, with an adjusted rating of 14.9%. Support for the party Strong Georgia stands at 6.3% (allocated to 11%), while ex-PM Giorgi Gakharia’s For Georgia receives 5.4% (allocated to 9.5%).
A significant portion of the population remains undecided or prefers not to disclose their voting preferences. Over 18% of respondents declined to answer, while approximately 14% said they were unsure of their choice.
The poll also explored past voting behavior, revealing that 51.3% of respondents claimed to have supported an opposition political force in previous elections, whereas 32% confirmed their vote for Georgian Dream. Up to 17% chose not to disclose their past electoral decisions.
The nationwide survey was conducted between January 18 and 30, 2025, with 2,000 respondents interviewed through face-to-face interactions. The respondents were randomly selected from households to ensure a representative sample. The survey results have a sampling error of ±2.2% at a 95% confidence level.
