Lawyer Beka Basilia says that uncle of former president Mikheil Saakashvili, Temur Alasania, has been unable to come to a court to be interrogated due to health issues.

Basilia claims that Alasania is in a neighboring country in a hospital.

Alasania was summoned for interrogation in a case which dates back to 2012.

The prosecution claims that one million USD was illegally seized from a businessman under the United National Movement government and then the money was laundered.

They say that Alasania was also involved in the alleged ‘fraud and money laundering.’
