Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of the opposition party Lelo for Georgia party, claims that the Georgian Dream government has failed to manage the pandemic effectively.
“50 people die daily as a result of the lack of knowledge of the government to manage the pandemic,”states Khazaradze, one of the founders of Georgia’s leading TBC Bank, who entered politics back in 2019, shortly after he was charged with laundering 16.7 million USD along with another founder of the bank Badri Japaridze.
Khazaradze also says that the October 2 municipal elections in Georgia were rigged.
“Votes have been stolen from the opposition candidates, including from our candidates in Tbilisi and Batumi,” he said.
Lelo received 2.71 percent of the vote in the proportional part of the elections and its candidates were unable to win any mayoral or majoritarian seats.
