Tbilisi City Court has fined Levan Khabeishvili, Chairman of the United National Movement’s (UNM) political council, 4,000 GEL for a Facebook post deemed offensive toward ruling party lawmakers.

Judge Manuchar Tsatsua announced the decision earlier today.

Khabeishvili was accused of insulting Georgian Dream MPs Nino Tsilosani and Tea Tsulukiani in a social media post. The court found his comments in violation of administrative norms regarding public expression.
