UNM’s Khabeishvili to supporters: ‘don’t fear anything, victory lies in hands of Georgian people’

United National Movement Political Council Chair Levan Khabeishvili on Thursday urged supporters not to retreat in the face of Government pressure as he was being detained earlier the day.

“Georgian people, do not fear anything! The Government is the one that is afraid. You can win. Do not bow your heads to the Russian regime! No retreat - victory lies in the hands of the Georgian people,” Khabeishvili declared during his arrest.

The State Security Service of Georgia detained Khabeishvili over bribery promises to law enforcement in the courtyard of TV channel Formula.
