Levan Makhashvili, Chairman of the Georgian Parliament’s Committee on European Integration, has met with Italy’s Ambassador to Georgia, Massimiliano D'Antuono, to discuss deepening bilateral cooperation and Georgia’s path toward European Union membership.

The meeting, described by Makhashvili as “friendly and businesslike,” focused on strengthening both bilateral and multilateral ties between the two countries, including inter-parliamentary relations.

“We discussed the process of integration into the European Union and the steps taken by the Georgian Parliament in this regard,” Makhashvili wrote in a statement shared on social media. “I thanked the Italian Ambassador for his support for Georgia.”
