Both sides expressed hope that the strategic partnership would be renewed

Levan Zhorzholiani, head of the Government Administration of Georgia, met representatives of the United States House Foreign Affairs Committee, the government administration said on Thursday. .

The meeting focused on bilateral relations between Georgia and the United States, the government press office said. 

The sides discussed ongoing developments in Georgia, with particular attention to steps taken by the Georgian government and its future plans to support economic growth. Measures aimed at combating corruption were also reviewed.

The statement said the importance of resetting Georgia-US relations was emphasized during the talks. Both sides expressed hope that the strategic partnership would be renewed and continue on the basis of a concrete agenda reflecting shared interests.
