Georgia’s delegation, led by Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, will participate in the 7th European Political Community (EPC) summit in Copenhagen, Government Administration Head Levan Zhorzholiani said on Wednesday.

He stressed the PM would speak at a roundtable session, focusing on Europe’s current economic challenges and dependencies, as well as Georgia’s economic performance, which he highlighted as the “strongest” in the region over the past two years.

In addition, Kobakhidze is expected to join a French-led initiative on the creation of an anti-drug coalition. 

Zhorzholiani stressed that combating drug trafficking was one of the Georgian government’s top priorities, noting that in recent months significant quantities of narcotics had been seized in Georgia and several dozen major dealers arrested.
