Georgia’s Government Administration Chief Levan Zhorzholiani on Tuesday said PM Irakli Kobakhidze will hold a bilateral meeting with Chinese PM Li Qiang during an official visit to Shanghai, "highlighting the deepening strategic partnership between the two nations."

Zhorzholiani, who is accompanying the Prime Minister, told reporters that the visit will include the signing of several cooperation memorandums between Georgian and Chinese ministers. The agreements will focus on key sectors including aviation, tourism, culture, artificial intelligence, environmental protection, and agriculture.

He added that the Georgian delegation was taking part as an honoured guest at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), where around 40 Georgian companies are showcasing their products.

Describing the trip as “highly significant” for bilateral relations, Zhorzholiani stressed that the visit highlighted the existing strategic partnership with Beijing and aimed to further expand cooperation.
