The meeting focused on cooperation between the Georgian government and UNICEF

The head of Georgia’s Government Administration, Levan Zhorzholiani, has met Isabella Castrogiovanni, the new representative of UNICEF in the country.

According to the Government Administration, Zhorzholiani congratulated Castrogiovanni on the start of her mission and wished her success in the role.

The meeting focused on cooperation between the Georgian government and UNICEF. Zhorzholiani reaffirmed Georgia’s readiness, as a member of UNICEF’s Executive Board, to support the organisation’s global priorities.

He also highlighted ongoing collaboration between United Nations agencies and the Georgian authorities, saying it aligned with national priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals while contributing to institutional development.
