Lottery with 2.8 mln GEL budget kicks off in Georgia to push vaccination

A lottery will kick off starting September 13, with the decision of the Georgian government and health officials, to encourage the vaccination process in the country.  

 

The lottery budget will stand at 2.8 million GEL and it will be held on a daily basis until the end of the year. 

 

The Georgian Lottery Company will organise the process. 

 

The individuals who have received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine will be eligible to participate. 

 

1,340,062 individuals have received at least one dose of the vaccine in the country so far, of which  489,194 individuals have been fully inoculated. 

 

More than 17 percent of the country’s adult population has been completely vaccinated.
