MEP Viola von Cramon on Thursday condemned the recent visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Georgia’s Russian-controlled Abkhazia region, calling him a terrorist and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s puppet.

“Lukashenko is a terrorist, Putin’s puppet and illegitimate ruler not recognised by the EU. His visit or recognition of Abkhazia doesn’t mean much. But it is a reminder four all  that Russia appeasers in Georgia that appeasing evil always backfires.Lukashenko will end with Putin!” said the MEP.

Lukashenko visited Abkhazia for the first time since being in office on Wednesday, with the move being strongly condemned by Tbilisi and the international community.
