Luke Coffey, the director of the Allison Center for Foreign Policy Studies at The Heritage Foundation, says that if Russia is defeated in Ukraine, it is still unclear what the domino effect might be in other places like Georgia’s Russian-controlled Abkhazia and Tskhinvali regions.

“If the Russian military is defeated in Ukraine and a coup or a major political crisis occurs in Moscow we have no idea what the domino effect might be in other places like occupied Tskhinvali and Abkhazia. Change could happen quickly and the Georgian government must plan for this possibility,” Coffey has tweeted.

In his previous posts Coffey stated that “Ukraine must remain the main effort but we should also be arming Georgia to the teeth with anti-tank and anti-aircraft weapons.”
