Macron reaffirms support for Ukraine ahead of European Council meeting

French President Emmanuel Macron took to social media platform X to reaffirm France’s unwavering support for Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing war of aggression.

“Before heading to meet with the people of Mayotte, I held a comprehensive discussion with President @ZelenskyyUa at the European Council,” Macron wrote.

He also added that “France remains, as it has since day one, alongside Ukraine and the Ukrainian people to counter Russia’s war of aggression.”
