Around 600 Ukrainian children have benefited from a Georgian government program offering summer camp experiences in a peaceful environment, Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili announced during a visit with the children alongside Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.

“This is a very important humanitarian gesture for children who are suffering from the trauma of war. It is essential for them to spend summer days in a peaceful atmosphere, in Georgia, and to receive the warmth and care they desperately need under such difficult circumstances,” Botchorishvili said.

Prime Minister Kobakhidze visited the camp together with Minister of Education, Science and Youth Givi Mikanadze, Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili, and Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Ukraine Giorgi Kakhiani during the meeting with the students. The program is funded by the Georgian government and aims to support Ukrainian children affected by Russia’s ongoing war.
