Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili on Monday claimed the Prime Minister’s official visit to China would include a bilateral meeting with China’s Prime Minister, describing the talks as politically important for strengthening relations and addressing key issues between the two countries.
Botchorishvili noted that several cooperation agreements would be signed during the visit across multiple sectors, further deepening ties between Tbilisi and Beijing.
“The Prime Minister is undertaking a visit to China. Georgia will participate in the Shanghai exhibition as a Guest of Honour, which presents an excellent opportunity to strengthen and expand economic relations between Georgia and China,” she said.
The FM further noted the meeting between the two prime ministers would serve as a platform to discuss strategic areas of cooperation and reinforce diplomatic engagement.
“This visit will be a good opportunity to deepen close economic links between the two countries,” Botchorishvili added.
Georgia’s delegation will take part in the China International Import Expo (CIIE), where the country is being represented at the highest level in what officials describe as a major step in advancing bilateral partnerships.
